History surrounds you from the minute you arrive at your luxury lodge. Reflecting a colonial influence in style and decorations, each room is exquisitely furnished and offers 5-star amenities. The likelihood of seeing Africa's Big 5 from an open safari vehicle is extremely good and every day on safari in South Africa will be an adventure on this rather unique Jock of the Bushveld package.
Wildlife activities can be as diverse as daily game drives to frogging safaris, which is a very special and rather unique way of learning something new. Starlit skies with gourmet meals complete the picture and before you know it, you will be in love with the African bush on this exciting South African safari experience. This is your chance to connect with the past and experience game viewing at its best in Kruger Park.
The day will start off with a morning flight to Kruger. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative waiting to transfer you to your safari lodge for the next 2 nights. Time is allowed to freshen up before lunch and the afternoon game drive which will last approximately 3-4 hours depending on sightings.
The guide usually stays out as long as possible if game viewing is exceptionally good, so you are sure not to miss anything. Dinner will be served in the open air boma tonight and then it is off to bed early for a good night's rest.
Following your early morning wake-up call with coffee/tea and rusks, you will head out on a morning game drive in an open safari vehicle during which your ranger will track African wildlife such as lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino and cheetah. You will return to the lodge for brunch.
The midday period of this South African safari in Kruger Park is spent at leisure so you will have time to relax at the pool with a good book or even treat yourself to a massage at the bush spa. After high tea and snacks, there is an evening safari to look forward to which will give you a chance to spot nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.
A traditional African dinner is served on your return to the camp. Discuss the days' sightings with other guests around the crackling fire with an after dinner drink before turning in for the evening.
After another early wake-up call, you will depart on the morning open safari vehicle game drive during which you will have a final chance of spotting animals that you might have missed so far.
Breakfast is served once you arrive back at the lodge. You will have time to check out and do some gift shopping before departing from the lodge to the airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.
