Roodewal Bush Lodge in Kruger National Park is situated 44 km north of Satara, on the banks of the Timbavati River. What makes Roodewal unique is the privacy of each individual sleeping unit, making it ideal for parties, corporate incentives, and small wedding parties.

The whole camp can be occupied by the party making the booking, and the units are spaced to offer privacy to each guest. Another lovely feature at Roodwal Bush Lodge in Kruger National Park is the private viewing deck, built on stilts which overlooks the Timbavati River.It has a single family cottage with two bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, two bathrooms, one with a bath, the other with a shower, as well as three 3-bedded bungalows, fitted with lofts that are able to sleep two people. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen with gas stove and oven, a fridge, freezer, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, as well as a bathroom complete with a shower, toilet and washbasin. Solar panels provide power for lights and fans.

The name Roodewal is taken from the scenically beautiful long dolerite dyke found in this area of the Kruger National Park, the ridge of which at times suggests a great wall built of massive stone blocks and overgrown with aloes, seringas and euphorbias.
Roodewal Bush Lodge is situated close to one of the most beautiful seasonal rivers in the park, the Timbavati River, which offers outstanding game viewing and is one of the attractions at Kruger National Park. There are no shopping facilities, restaurants for dining or filling station, at Roodewal Lodge but such facilities can be found at the nearby Olifants and Satara rest camps. If you wish to jet in, Eastgate Airport is located only 68km (42 miles) from Orpen Gate and is served by SA Express with regular flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
