The Satara Rest Camp staff celebrated both the end of 2005 and their achievement as being chosen best camp for 2005 on the last day of December.
The party was held at N'wanetsi Picnic Spot. "We received a whopping R10.000 cheque for being the Best Camp of the year," said Martin Mmako, front office manager.
Staff came from all over to join in the fun. "We had people from housekeeping, front office, management, conservation, garden services, camp security and other guests from outside the park."
According to Martin the party started at 19h00 and lasted until the about 04h00 on new year's day.
"A big thank you to Cedric Mekwa, Pheriot Theko, Sunday Chiloane, Leonard Themba, Thomas Ramabulana, Aitken Makhense, Maggie Malope, Chester Mhlanga for organizing the occasion."
