About 200 women, dressed in their best ball gowns, had a whale of a time 'on board the Titanic' - all for the sake of charity. The event was held at Ya Mati on the banks of the Blyde River and lasted till well past midnight on Saturday, September 10.
Three pre-schools in the Hoedspruit area, Mariepskop, Kidisaurus and Kleine Drakies were not only beneficiaries, but also took part in the proceedings. Each
designed a poster about the Titanic.
These were only unveiled on the evening where all present voted Kidisaurus in the first place. Shine 4, an all girls entertainment group, provided short satirical renditions of Madonna, Britney Spears, Village People, Tina Turner and others.
